Bhopal: The 11th session of the 16th Madhya Pradesh assembly will begin on Monday and continue till July 24, with several key legislations, including the proposed Uniform Civil Code (UCC) bill, likely to be introduced during the five-day session.Ahead of the session, assembly speaker Narendra Singh Tomar reviewed the preparations at the Vidhan Sabha on Sunday and directed officials to ensure its smooth conduct. He also inspected the newly installed portraits of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in the Central Hall. Assembly principal secretary Arvind Sharma accompanied him during the inspection.According to the assembly secretariat, members have submitted 1,756 questions for the session, including 900 starred and 856 unstarred questions. The secretariat has also received 267 calling attention notices, five adjournment motions, 20 private members’ resolutions and 77 Zero Hour notices for discussion.The five-day sitting will be the 11th session of the 16th Madhya Pradesh assembly.
