Belagavi: Fahim Kotwal, a resident of Khanjar Galli, Belagavi, who was involved in illegal activities, was externed for a year. City police commissioner Bhushan G Borase said that 48 cases were registered against him for his involvement in matka, communal violence, loss of public property, attempted murder, illegal transportation of goods and other illegal activities.The cases registered against the accused include 34 cases in Market police station, five in Malmaruti police station, eight in Khade Bazaar police station and one in CEN crime station. Although he was convicted in 25 cases, he was externed for the second time to maintain peace and harmony, as he continued illegal activities.The commissioner has informed that this time the accused was externed to the Haveri Town police jurisdiction.
