Ranchi: The district administration on Tuesday arranged 25 free buses to help students who had come to the city for Monday’s Vidhan Sabha gherao return home safely.Of these, 20 buses will take students to Hazaribag, Ramgarh, Giridih and Dhanbad districts, while 5 have been kept in reserve for local transportation.For Hazaribag and Ramgarh, students can board buses JH01GJ5480 (driver’s contact number: 9110913935), JH01BQ9049 (8709036227), JH01FD1051 (7632069309), JH01EW9093 (9798208660), JH01DP8393 (9771611890), JH01DW5232 (9546189388), JH01FA5855 (8862818140), JH01FA5338 (7479994308), JH01FU7346 (6204213843) and JH01AV5082 (6204020831).The buses arranged for Dhanbad are JH01DK4815 (7209887996), JH01DK7314 (9771555676), JH01DK8690 (7091781702), JH01FA6089 (9006749479) and JH01FY9514 (9708185363).Students travelling to Giridih can use buses JH01AZ8244 (9905414556), JH01AZ8251 (8084222709), JH01FN6741 (9204563137), JH01EJ3281 (9204449827) and JH01FN1057 (9931427191).The five buses kept in reserve for local transportation are JH01BY5936 (6200429723), JH01BP4097 (9798230459), JH01BQ2170 (6205690592), JH01EZ2519 (9801235556) and JH01EB8578 (7631140679).All the buses remained in Khelgaon area throughout the day but no one approached for the return journey. A bus driver said that they were present there from 8 am but left after 6 pm as no student came to avail the services.Earlier, the administration said the service was launched to ensure that students did not face inconvenience, feel helpless or remain stranded in the city.“The safe return of the students is the district administration’s priority. Students can also contact the administration if they need assistance,” it said.
