Round 15 of the NRL season continues on Friday night with the Dolphins hosting the Sydney Roosters at Lang Park.
Both teams are under strength given their heavy State of Origin representation, but the Tricolours will hand an NRL debut to young gun Rex Bassingthwaite.
Bassingthwaite, a former schoolboy rugby star, was man of the match in this year’s SG Ball grand final and has been earmarked as the long-term replacement for Roosters skipper James Tedesco.

Tips
With both sides so depleted it’s a tough one to pick but I’ll go with the Dolphins – they’re at home, Katoa and Farnworth are both still playing and they’ve been in really strong form recently.
Let’s go Phins by 12 and Lemuelu to score the first try.

Get to know Rex Bassingthwaite
Here’s a little bit of the kid in action. He was man of the match in this year’s SG Ball grand final and previously represented Australia Under 19s in rugby union.

Final teams: Dolphins vs Roosters
No changes for the Dolphins but a slight reshuffle for the Chooks.
Rex Bassingthwaite is on the wing and he’s an exciting inclusion. The 19-year old is a junior of some reputation and has been earmarked as the club’s long-term replacement for skipper James Tedesco.
Bassingthwaite’s inclusion means Billy Smith goes to the centres and Egan Butcher drops back to the bench.

Hello and welcome to the ABC’s NRL live blog
Hey everyone, we’re back at it again for another edition of the ABC’s NRL live blog.
Just the one match tonight, Dolphins vs Roosters from Lang Park.
It’s a shame both sides are so Origin depleted, otherwise this could have been a real cracker but we’ll do our best with it.
Let’s have some fun.
