Social Services Minister Tanya Plibersek and One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce have popped up for their regular spot on Channel Seven.
A Sydney Morning Herald/The Age Resolve poll says One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson has overtaken Anthony Albanese as preferred PM.
Plibersek says she thinks people are frustrated and that the government has to demonstrate “things are changing”.
“We’ve got to demonstrate that things are changing and that takes a while. We’ve just got to keep working to make sure that that those tax cuts that we want to deliver right now get to people,” Plibersek says.
Hanson has reportedly left the door open for her daughter, Lee Hanson, to eventually lead the right-wing party.
Asked where that leaves Joyce, who defected from the Nationals to One Nation last year, he says it doesn’t worry him.
“It doesn’t worry me. Honestly, I’m here for the philosophical change for Australia to try and get us back on track, to try and make sure we become as strong as powerful as quickly as possible,” Joyce says.
