A woman is in a critical condition after being bitten by a shark at a beach in Sydney’s east.
Emergency crews were called to Coogee just before 11:15am on Saturday after members of the public pulled a woman, believed to be in her 30s, from the water.
She was treated for serious leg and arm injuries, with preparations underway for her to be flown to hospital.
Coogee Beach, along with nearby Clovelly and Bronte, have been closed.
