Toral Rasputra from Hastinapur Ke Veer: When women support and uplift one another they can bring about meaningful change

Hastinapur Ke Veer explores the formative years of the Pandavas and Kauravas bringing alive the relationships, values and experiences that shape their lives. The show also highlights the women of Hastinapur whose choices and guidance play an important role in shaping the next generation. In the ongoing track Kunti (Toral Rasputra) and Gandhari (Vivana Singh) come together with a shared intention to uplift the women of Hastinapur and encourage them to find their voice and strength. Taking this vision forward they establish a women’s council in Hastinapur, creating a space where women can come together, voice their concerns, support one another and collectively work towards a more empowered community. Taking inspiration from their characters, Toral Rasputra and Vivana Singh shared their thoughts on how women can uplift each other in today’s world and create a more supportive environment for other women around them.Toral Rasputra who essays the role of Kunti, shared: “I have always believed that strength is not just about enduring challenges, but also about finding the courage to speak up and stand for what is right. This track is especially meaningful because Kunti and Gandhari come together with a shared purpose, to empower the women of Hastinapur to recognise their own strength and find their voice. It is a powerful reminder that when women support and uplift one another they can bring about meaningful change, both within their families and in society. I hope this journey inspires women to believe in themselves, stand up for their rights and never hesitate to make their voices heard.”Vivana Singh, who essays the role of Gandhari, shared: “Playing Gandhari has made me realise that a woman’s strength is not only about standing strong for herself, but also about being there for other women. I truly believe that when women support, encourage and uplift one another, we create a much stronger and more compassionate world. I believe it is important for all of us to create spaces where women feel heard, valued and confident enough to embrace their own strength. For me, supporting another woman is one of the most meaningful ways of celebrating our own strength.”
