Fire Rescue Victoria said rescue crews extricated a 51-year-old male driver who was trapped.
Ambulance Victoria said its crews responded to the incident just before 7:30am on Saturday, and that Advanced Life Support paramedics treated one person at the scene and transported him to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Overhead footage of the incident shows what appears to be white sheeting strewn across the freeway below a ramp from the M80 Ring Road.
Victoria’s transport department said all city-bound lanes of the Princes Freeway onto the West Gate Freeway and Geelong Road were closed.
The ramp from the M80 Ring Road Altona-bound onto the Princes Freeway is also closed.
