Actor Ronit Bose Roy is mourning the loss of his beloved pet dog Magic, who passed away after spending 11 years with the actor and his family. Roy shared an emotional tribute on social media, remembering Magic’s presence in their lives and expressing his pain over his final days.Sharing a picture of his pet, Roy wrote, “R.I.P. my lil baby. Thank you for the wonderful 11 years together.” He went on to recall Magic’s mischievous side and the way he would greet visitors to the house.“Thanks for terrorizing every one who came home and not allowing them to enter and then terrorizing them again and not allowing them to leave. Thank you for all the tantrums and sulking. I never missed the love hidden behind all that,” the actor wrote.Ronit Roy recalls Magic’s final daysRoy also opened up about Magic’s difficult final days and expressed regret over being unable to do more for his beloved pet. “I know that your final days gave you a lot of trouble and I’m truly sorry that I was helplessly unable to do any more about it,” he wrote.The actor wished that he could have had more time with Magic. “I wish there was a way for you to stay longer. Too soon, too soon,” Roy said, while also finding some comfort in knowing that his pet was no longer suffering and was now “in a better place.”Roy further shared that life for his family, particularly Agasthya Bose Roy and Aador Bose Roy, would never be the same without Magic. Ending the heartfelt tribute, he wrote, “Please don’t forget us. See you on the other side.”Ronit Roy’s journey from television to filmsOn the professional front, Ronit Roy began his film career with Jaan Tere Naam in 1992. Although the film enjoyed a successful theatrical run, the actor initially struggled to establish himself in Bollywood. He later appeared in films including Hulchul, Sainik and Dosti Ki Saugandh before television gave his career a major boost.His breakthrough on the small screen came with Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay, where he played the charismatic and complex Rishabh Bajaj. He subsequently became a household name as Mihir Virani in the hugely popular Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. He replaced Inder Kumar, who had earlier replaced the original Mihir, played by Amar Upadhyay.Roy later headlined shows such as Bandini and Adaalat, with his portrayal of lawyer K.D. Pathak becoming another much-loved character.The actor also successfully transitioned back to films as a character actor, appearing in projects such as Udaan, Student of the Year, 2 States, Ugly, Kaabil, Sarkar 3, Munna Michael and Lucknow Central.
