Chennai: An A+ category history-sheeter, Ennore Dhanasekaran, who has more than 50 criminal cases pending against him, was arrested at a star hotel in Guindy by Avadi police on Thursday. They seized a country-made pistol and a luxury car, also arresting two of his associates.The contractor, who is executing Stage-II work at a thermal power plant in north Chennai, lodged a complaint that Dhanasekaran had demanded ₹1 crore and threatened to kill him. The Kattur police registered a case under eight sections, including criminal intimidation. A special team traced him to his hiding spot and surrounded him in a pre-dawn operation.Police said Dhanasekaran is an accused in the 2018 murder of a thermal power plant contractor, James. He has been detained under the Goondas Act five times.
