What Ronaldo and Georgina agreed before the wedding
The couple’s marriage certificate, obtained by Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Notícias, records that they chose a “regime de separação de bens”, or separation of assets.Under that arrangement, Ronaldo and Rodríguez retain ownership of assets held in their individual names rather than automatically treating everything acquired during the marriage as jointly owned. Assets registered in both names would remain shared.The agreement was signed at a notary’s office in Lisbon on August 10, just 24 hours before they married.Reports from Portugal, later echoed by MARCA, have since provided further details about what the prenup is understood to contain. The most striking provision concerns Rodríguez’s financial security if the couple were to separate.She would reportedly receive around €100,000 ($117,000) a month for life, according to those reports.The provision is said to have been established after the birth of their daughter Alana Martina, with the financial security of Rodríguez and the couple’s children in mind.Another reported provision concerns the family’s former home in Madrid. Rodríguez would reportedly retain ownership of Ronaldo’s mansion in the exclusive La Finca development if the relationship ended. The property has been valued at around €5.8 million ($6.8 million).
