Alex Jones has backed Candace Owens as the winner of her debate with Andrew Wilson over Charlie Kirk’s assassination, saying Owens “decisively defeated” Wilson. The debate took place on August 14 and was moderated by Patrick Bet-David. According to a video posted by Alex Jones on X, he watched the debate after finishing his regular show and focused on one exchange: Owens asked Wilson to name the charges against Tyler Robinson. Jones said Wilson could not list them, while Owens gave the charges in order.

Jones said: “Candace Owens today decisively defeated Andrew Wilson, the champion the TPUSA put forward in Charlie Kirk assassination cover up debate hosted by Patrick Bet-David.”Jones said he could not watch the debate live because he was hosting his regular show. After watching it later, he said Owens “destroyed” Wilson. He called the exchange over Robinson’s charges the most important part of the debate.He said: “She then in the order of the charges listed and they pull it up on ChatGPT and she nailed it word-for-word with photographic memory and he says, ’Oh, you are using your phone I think.’”Jones said Owens then handed her phone to the moderator, and he claimed there were no texts about the charges on it.He also said there had been a cover-up in the investigation, while adding that not everything Owens has said is true.“What I know is that the official story is not true and I know the system has lost all credibility and that’s why the public doesn’t buy any of this.”Those are Jones’ claims, not established findings about the investigation.

Jones also talked about his connection with Kirk. He said Kirk had called him about a month before his death and that they discussed the Israel war and the Epstein files. Jones said phone records could be checked to confirm that call.He referred to Owens’ claim that she had received messages from Kirk about Israel. Jones said: “And when Candace said I have got texts of him saying Israel’s coming after me, they said ‘You are liar. She released him.’ Those are real. But when she says to him,‘What are the charges? Do you even know the basic facts? You can’t list one.’”Jones then turned to Wilson and said he would debate him himself. He said he would take on topics including Kirk’s assassination and President Trump turning against MAGA.“Because they say he is this incredible debater and quite frankly, I don’t think so.A real debater has the facts. And so, I don’t know how this guy got anointed as the ultimate debater in the universe.”Jones said he wants to debate Wilson next week and is willing to do it in Austin or at a studio chosen by Wilson. He said the recent debate did not address what he considers the real issues surrounding Kirk’s death.
