Optimists like me had hoped this war would lead to a recalibrated Middle East, focused on peace and the Abraham Accords. Sadly, the Trump deal is silent about Iran’s development of ballistic missiles that caused millions of Israelis to run for shelter over these past two years. Even more critically, the MOU fails to demand an end to Iran’s funding and material support of its terror proxies — Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis — organizations that ignited this regional war in the first place.
