Bengaluru: Actor and former Kannada reality show contestant Aishwarya Sindhogi has approached police complaining of sustained online harassment by an unidentified person who has been posting defamatory comments and sending offensive messages that has damaged her reputation.Aishwarya said she suspects the targeted campaign is being carried out by a family friend. She alleged the suspect may have created fake social media accounts to post abusive comments and send harassing messages.The actress told police the online abuse has been affecting her personal and professional reputation as the brands she is associated with and her fans are watching the comments. Aishwarya claimed this is not the first time she has faced harassment; after her mother’s death in 2020, she had lodged a complaint, alleging the person had harassed her through repeated phone calls and by stalking her.She told TOI: “This is cyberbullying. It is being done by only one profile across 20 to 30 digital media platforms. I suspect a person because the pattern is similar.”
