Bondi gunman Naveed Akram has been charged with 19 additional offences.
The 24-year-old was already facing 59 charges after the shooting at a Jewish festival celebrating Hanukkah at Bondi Beach last December, in which 15 people were killed.
The initial charges include 15 counts of murder, 40 counts of attempted murder, and one count of committing a terrorist act.
On Wednesday Akram’s defence lawyer, Leonie Gittani, told a Sydney court that paperwork for 19 additional charges had now been filed.
According to court records, those new charges include 10 counts of “shoot at with intent to murder”, six counts of discharging a firearm with intent to resist arrest, and three counts of causing wounding or grievous bodily harm with intent to murder.
