Meerut: What initially appeared to be a tragic snakebite death has now turned into a shocking murder investigation in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut. Police have alleged that a 32-year-old school owner was killed as part of a carefully planned conspiracy involving sleeping pills, a venomous krait snake and two snake charmers.
According to police, Atul Kumar Panwar, who ran a school in Hastinapur, was found dead at his rented house in J-Block Colony on Friday morning. Investigators now suspect that his wife, Damini, allegedly conspired with Tushar, a bus driver employed at Panwar’s school, to murder him and make the death appear to be an accidental snakebite.
Police have alleged that Atul was given milk mixed with sleeping pills before he went to bed. Once he was allegedly unconscious, a highly venomous krait snake was reportedly released onto the bed. The snake allegedly bit him, resulting in his death.
The incident initially appeared to be a case of a fatal snakebite. However, during the investigation, police allegedly uncovered evidence pointing towards a planned murder conspiracy.
According to investigators, Tushar allegedly sought the help of two snake charmers, identified as Sonu and Uday Kumar, to arrange the venomous snake and assist in carrying out the alleged plan. All four accused persons have reportedly been arrested in connection with the case.
Police are now investigating the alleged relationship between Damini and Tushar and whether it played a role in the suspected murder conspiracy. Investigators are also examining the exact sequence of events leading to Atul’s death and the alleged roles of the other accused.
The case has shocked residents because of the alleged method used in the murder. What initially appeared to be an unfortunate death caused by a snakebite has now emerged as a suspected conspiracy involving a wife, her alleged lover and two snake charmers.
