HUBBALLI: A 19-year-old woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband with a helmet following a domestic dispute in Karnataka’s Hubballi on Wednesday, police said.The victim, identified as Nagaratna Halemani, had married Shivaraj, a resident of Tarihal village, in February this year. She hailed from Ibrahimpur village in Navalgund taluk.According to police, an argument between the couple on Wednesday morning escalated into a violent altercation, during which Shivaraj allegedly struck Nagaratna on the head with a helmet. She sustained severe injuries, collapsed and died.Superintendent of Police Gunjan Arya said the couple, who had been married for about four months, got into a fight that turned fatal when the husband allegedly attacked his wife with a helmet.Shivaraj has been taken into custody. Police said five people have been arrested based on the complaint, and further investigation is underway.
