A man has been charged with murder over the death of an elderly man who was allegedly attacked during a morning walk in Sydney’s west.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, a Yennora local called emergency services after an elderly man was found on the side of the road near the intersection of Orchardleigh Street and Junction Road.
The 74-year-old married father of six had left his house about 30 minutes before the incident, and was out on his daily morning walk.
Police and paramedics treated the man at the scene, and he was later taken to hospital in a critical condition.
