The ABC understands former professional cyclist Rohan Dennis has been reported for driving while disqualified.
In a statement, SA Police said they apprehended a 36-year-old Medindie man just after 4pm on Thursday, after observing him driving a vehicle with two children as passengers.
They said the man’s vehicle had been impounded for 28 days and he would be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
Last year, Dennis was handed a suspended sentence for the events leading up to the death of his Olympian wife Melissa Hoskins in December 2023.
Dennis was handed a 17-month prison term — but that sentence was suspended on a two-year good-behaviour bond.
He was also banned from driving for five years.
