The makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, who are known for taking inspiration from real life situations, have introduced a storyline around food, safety concern. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is once again using its episodic storytelling to highlight the importance of being vigilant about the food people consume and the brands they trust. This comes as Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe continues to take strict action against food safety violations and putting the issue in the spotlight.The ongoing storyline revolves around Madhavi and Bhide’s popular achar-papad business. As per the story, Bhide sets out to deliver bottles of homemade achar to their customers. However, Madhavi and Sonu realise that one of Madhavi’s bangles is missing. Madhavi fears that the bangle may have broken and could have accidentally fallen into one of the bottles of achar that Bhide has already taken for delivery.The situation turns serious when the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) raids their home and suspends their food licence. However, after the investigation it is revealed that the product in question did not belong to Madhavi and Bhide. In fact, it is linked to a fraudulent company producing products that look similar. This shows the dangers of fake and misleading food brands.Speaking about the storyline, Asit Kumarr Modi, Creator and Producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, said, “Food is something that every family trusts without thinking twice, and that trust comes with responsibility.
