Sony WH-1000XM6 gets Olive Gray colour in India at Rs 39,990

Sony India has launched a new Olive Gray colour option for the WH-1000XM6, its flagship wireless noise-cancelling headphones. The variant is priced at Rs 39,990 and will be sold exclusively on Amazon. The finish is a muted, earthy tone, and Sony says it was chosen to reflect growing demand for understated design. The company has positioned the colour at younger buyers and users who want headphones that work as an everyday accessory. Specifications remain unchanged from the existing WH-1000XM6.The headphones run Sony’s HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3, which the company says is seven times faster than the chip used in the WH-1000XM5. It works with twelve microphones, 1.5 times the count on the previous model, placed around the earcups to read ambient sound and adjust cancellation in real time. Sony says this allows the headphones to adapt more closely to the listener’s surroundings, whether on a commute or in an office.Sound tuning was done with mastering engineers at Sterling Sound, Battery Studios and Coast Mastering, paired with a specially developed driver unit. The WH-1000XM6 also supports 360 Reality Audio Upmix for Cinema, which converts film and video audio into a wider, more immersive mix, and includes a call system designed to keep voice clear in noisy environments.Olive Gray joins Sandstone, Sand Pink, Black, Platinum Silver and Midnight Blue, taking the WH-1000XM6 lineup to six colours.
