Kochi: Two Bangladeshi nationals who were allegedly residing illegally in Kerala were arrested by Aluva police from a rented house at Pulinchode on Wednesday.The arrested are Shakeel Khan, 34, and Rony Sheikh, 30. The police said the duo had concealed their Bangladeshi nationality and had been living in the state by posing as interstate migrant workers.According to the police, Rony had been residing in Murshidabad, West Bengal, for the past 15 years before arriving in Kerala nine months ago. Shakeel had been living in West Bengal for the last 10 years and reached Kerala four months ago. Police also recovered Bangladeshi identity documents from their possession.The investigation is being led by sub-inspectors Josy M Johnson and Ranjith Mathew of Aluva police station.
