British boxer Raven Chapman is recovering after undergoing emergency brain surgery following a life-threatening injury suffered during a sparring session in Denmark. The 32-year-old collapsed after training on July 24 and was rushed to hospital by air ambulance. Doctors later confirmed that she had suffered a brain haematoma and cerebral oedema, requiring immediate medical treatment.Chapman has spent nearly two weeks in an induced coma as doctors worked to reduce pressure on her brain and support her recovery. Her medical team has now started reducing her sedation, while preparations are being made to transfer her back to the United Kingdom for further treatment and rehabilitation.

Although her condition remains serious. They said she continues to receive intensive medical care and is making gradual progress. Plans are now underway for her medically supervised transfer to a hospital in the UK, where she is expected to begin a lengthy rehabilitation process.Her team also shared that medical staff remain focused on supporting her recovery every step of the way. They added that Chapman’s family has remained by her side in Denmark throughout this difficult period and requested privacy as they continue supporting her. The statement also noted that further updates would only be provided if there are significant developments and thanked everyone who has sent messages of encouragement and support.A fundraising campaign has been launched to help cover the costs of her rehabilitation, long-term care, and recovery. The appeal has received strong backing from the boxing community, with thousands of pounds already donated.
