Khargone: A 26-year-old man was arrested and over 9 gram of brown sugar worth around Rs 95,000 was seized from his possession in Barwaha police station area of Khargone district.According to police, acting on a tip-off received on Monday, a team led by Barwaha police station in charge, Inspector Rajendra Barman, laid a trap on Jayanti Mata Road. A man, matching the description provided by informer, was stopped and searched. Over 9 gram of brown sugar was recovered from his possession. The man was identified as Ravi Yadav, a resident of Jat Mohalla in Barwaha townA case has been registered against Yadav under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act at Barwaha police station. He has been taken into custody. Police said Yadav had previous criminal cases registered against him, including offences under the NDPS Act and theft-related provisions.
