Director Ali Abbas Zafar is gearing up for the release of his next big-screen entertainer, and the makers have now confirmed its theatrical release date. The yet-to-be-titled romantic action drama is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on March 26, 2027. This coincides with the Good Friday holiday weekend. The film features Ahaan Panday and Sharvari in the lead roles, while Bobby Deol and Aaishvary Thackeray play pivotal characters. With a blend of romance and action, the project is expected to be one of YRF’s major releases of 2027.
Aditya Chopra reunites with Ali Abbas Zafar
The upcoming film also marks another collaboration between producer Aditya Chopra and director Ali Abbas Zafar. The duo has previously worked together on several successful films, including ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, ‘Gunday’, and others. Much of the untitled project has been filmed across multiple locations in the United Kingdom, with the production team completing an extensive overseas schedule.
Aaishvary Thackeray plays the antagonist
Among the notable casting choices, Aaishvary Thackeray has been roped in to portray the film’s primary antagonist. His negative role is expected to play a significant part in the story’s central conflict. Meanwhile, Ahaan Panday reportedly underwent months of intensive physical preparation before filming began. Earlier reports suggested that the young actor followed a demanding fitness routine designed specifically for the action-heavy role. According to IANS: “Ahaan will start his training in boxing first and then move on to mixing martial arts and hardcore strength training to bulk up for the screen. His training will be for about 5 hours every day. It will be intense but necessary as Ali wants to present him as a young boy who can take down people with sheer brute force”. The report further said, “No one can even imagine Ahaan in this fierce avatar and YRF will keep things completely under wraps for people to feel the awe when they look at him in his new film visuals”.

Ali Abbas Zafar made his directorial debut with ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ in 2011, a romantic comedy that introduced audiences to his storytelling style. He later directed ‘Gunday’, an action drama set against the backdrop of 1970s and 1980s Kolkata. More recently, he helmed ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, with Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar in the lead.
