The 20-year-old sprinter from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, has steadily emerged as a promising name in the men’s T37 category, competing in the 100m and 200m events.Trivedi first grabbed attention in 2019 when he won a gold medal in his debut appearance at the National Para Athletics Championships. His consistent performances soon earned him a place in the Indian team for major international competitions.His breakthrough came at the 2022 Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, held in 2023, where he clinched two bronze medals in the men’s T37 100m and 200m events. The twin podium finishes established him as one of India’s leading para sprinters and showcased his ability to perform on the continental stage.In 2025, Trivedi represented India at the Para Athletics World Championships in New Delhi. Competing against some of the world’s best sprinters in the T37 category, he finished eighth.The youngster has now secured qualification for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and will represent India as part of an 11-member para-athletics squad within the country’s 125-member contingent. It will be his first appearance at the Games, offering him another opportunity to test himself against elite athletes from across the Commonwealth.As he prepares for his maiden Commonwealth Games, Trivedi will aim to build on his continental success and challenge for a podium finish in Glasgow.
