Australian police say they’re ready to help US authorities, as a weeks-long search for Melbourne woman Sally Grace Contarino continues in Las Vegas.
Ms Contarino, 26, has not been seen or heard from since last month, after disappearing during a trip to the US city.
In an interview with Nine News, Ms Contarino’s sister Amy said her family became alarmed when she did not return to Australia as scheduled.
“The panic really started to set in because we still hadn’t heard from her,” Amy Contarino said.
“We believe that somebody out there does know something.“
Las Vegas police said Ms Contarino was last seen just after 1pm on June 20 in the area of West Skye Canyon Drive, on the north-western edge of the city.
A shopping strip mall is located at the address, and borders the US Route 95 highway leading north-west out of Las Vegas and towards nearby desert.
Authorities said Ms Contarino was known to like hiking.
A missing persons notice filed by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department also noted Ms Contarino could possibly be “in severe emotional distress and in need of medical assistance”.
The notice also called on all hospitals to check their registries for Ms Contarino.
The family’s last contract with Ms Contarino was also on June 20.

A still image from CCTV footage released by Las Vegas police shows Ms Contarino in the last outfit she was seen wearing: a grey/blue sweatshirt, jean shorts, black and white sneakers and a purse.
Victorian authorities confirmed it was informed of the missing persons case and would assist with the investigation.
“Victoria Police is aware of this matter and will provide any assistance to the US authorities as required,” a spokesperson said.
