Hazaribag: Twenty-eight absconding accused and warrant evaders wanted in cases registered under the POCSO Act and other offences against women were arrested during an overnight operation that began late Tuesday and continued into the early hours of Wednesday.The simultaneous raids, launched on the directions of superintendent of police (SP) Aman Kumar, covered all subdivisions and focused on tracking offenders wanted in cases involving sexual offences against women and children.Police said 107 personnel were deployed for the coordinated operation. Teams were formed under the leadership of the respective station house officers and operated across multiple police station areas. Deputy superintendents of police and police inspectors supervised the drive to ensure swift execution and coordination among the raiding units.The SP said the night-long searches led to the arrest of 28 absconding accused wanted in POCSO and offences against women cases. The arrests were made from different locations across Hazaribag district during the special drive.All arrested persons were produced before a court and sent to judicial custody.
