Actor Het Thakkar is returning to television with the show Kyunki Rishton Ke Bhi Roop Badalte Hain after taking a break to focus on his studies. Known for his work in Anupamaa and Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey, Het will play Akshay, the son of Angad and Vrinda, portrayed by Rohit Suchanti and Tanisha Mehta.“I’m truly excited to step into Kyunki Rishton Ke Bhi Roop Badalte Hain as Akshay, the positive, loving son of Angad and Vrinda,” Het says. “Joining the spin-off of the iconic Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi feels like a life-changing moment. Working with Ekta Kapoor ma’am is a dream, and I’m hopeful I’ll also get to share screen space with Smriti Irani ma’am.”The young actor reveals that his break from television after Wagle Ki Duniya was a conscious decision. “College, tuitions and board exams needed my complete attention, so I chose to focus on academics. During that time, I continued acting through web series because they fit my schedule. Now I’m back on television with fresh energy and gratitude.”Het says the time away from daily television helped him grow personally. “The break taught me balance, discipline and patience. I’m proud of the pause, and even prouder of this return.”Currently pursuing filmmaking, he believes his education complements his work as an actor. “My studies help me understand storytelling, timing and filmmaking, and I get to apply those lessons directly on set. Both experiences help me grow together. It’s busy, but it’s extremely rewarding.”The actor also credits his parents for helping him balance his career and education. “They have always supported every dream I wanted to pursue. They taught me to value time, stay disciplined and still follow my heart. Whatever I am today is because of their constant encouragement.”Het was last seen as Abhinav in the 2025 web series CO-ED. His previous work includes Anupamaa, Bombay Begums, Gumraah and Dr. Arora.
