Shreya Kalra emerged as the winner of Lock Upp 2, with Shivangi Joshi finishing as the first runner-up. While the finale grabbed headlines, Varun Yadav, eliminated just before the top five. In an exclusive interview with Times of India TV, he shared his candid take on his fallout with Ram Kapoor and his views on the show.Opening up about his strained equation with Ram Kapoor, Varun revealed how things unfolded after the latter’s elimination. “Jab woh eliminate hue, toh bahar aake mujhse maafi maangi, pair padne lage. Maine bola, ‘Sir, please aisa mat karo. Aap bade ho.’ Maine jo bola tha, saamne bola tha. Agar jawab dena tha toh de dete,” he said.He further made it clear that while he holds no grudges, he won’t be the one initiating reconciliation. “Andar unhone bola tha ki bahar milunga, yeh karunga, woh karunga, lekin ab mujhe aisa kuch nahi lagta. Main unke paas nahi jaunga. Agar woh aana chahein, most welcome. Warna, I’m okay,” Varun added.Reacting to Shreya Kalra’s win, Varun also shared his perspective on the current reality show culture, calling out the growing focus on controversy-driven content. “Reality shows ko logon ne alag hi bana diya hai, TRP ke liye sirf ladayi, jhagda aur cheap baatein. Mujhe lagta hai ye sab zaroori nahi hai. Come on bhai, ab hum bade ho gaye hain. Har cheez families dekh rahi hain, bachche bhi dekhte hain,” he said.He emphasised that he chose to maintain dignity during his time on the show. “Maine wahan jo dena tha, proper diya, entertainment bhi aur jahan stand lena tha, wahan stand bhi liya. But apni limit mein. Line cross nahi karni chahiye, aisi baatein nahi bolni chahiye jo kisi ko personally hurt kare,” Varun explained.Admitting his disappointment, he took a subtle dig at contestants who resort to negativity for attention. “Thoda disappointed hoon ki aise logon ko aage le jaate hain jo badtameezi karein, faltu ke mudde uthayein aur backbiting karein. Agar yehi karna hota, toh main bhi bahut aage hoon- main bhi bahut badtameez ho sakta hoon. But reality show ka matlab hota hai jo aap ho, wahi dikhana,” he concluded.As Lock Upp 2 wraps up with Shreya Kalra taking home the title.
