A newly surfaced video from Mississippi’s Horn Island has added a fresh point of interest to the investigation into Nolan Wells’ death. The footage, first reported by TMZ, appears to show the “Mac Daddy” boat that Nolan was allegedly last seen on before he disappeared on July 4. While the possible match has drawn attention, investigators have not confirmed that the boat in the newly released clip is the same vessel connected to the case. Authorities are still working to understand Nolan’s final movements and what happened in the hours before he was found dead.

What the newly surfaced Horn Island video shows about Nolan Wells’ case

The newly released clip was reportedly recorded on July 4 at 11:17 a.m., according to the person who shared it online. The video shows the “Mac Daddy” boat near Horn Island before the area became busy with holiday visitors. The footage has gained attention because it appears to match another video that TMZ previously obtained. Metadata from that earlier video showed it was recorded at 2:23 p.m., several hours later. In the earlier footage, a man wearing swim trunks that matched the colour of the trunks Nolan was wearing in the well-known July 4 photograph could be seen on a boat with his friends. The video also showed two older adults onboard. However, the newly surfaced clip appears different in one important way. The older adults seen in the earlier video do not seem to be the same people visible on the boat in this recording. Even so, there is no official confirmation that both videos show the same boat or that the vessel is directly linked to Nolan’s disappearance.Officials have not publicly connected the newly surfaced footage to the investigation. At this stage, the video is being viewed as a possible clue rather than confirmed evidence.

Nolan Wells’ final known timeline and the investigation so far

Investigators are continuing to piece together Nolan’s final known movements on July 4.A previously released 911 call captured one of Nolan’s friends reporting that a boat had sunk near Horn Island. According to the known timeline, Nolan disappeared after his friends left. His body was later found along the Horn Island shoreline on July 6.So far, no witnesses have publicly reported seeing Nolan after 4:30 p.m. on July 4, leaving investigators with unanswered questions about what happened during those final hours.Nolan’s funeral was held on July 20 at Center Pointe Church in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. The service was led by Rev. Al Sharpton. During that time, Sharpton and Tyler Perry each offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in Nolan’s death. The newly surfaced video has now become another piece of material that could help investigators build a clearer timeline. For now, though, authorities have not confirmed whether the boat seen in the footage has any direct connection to the case, and the investigation remains ongoing.
