CHANDIGARH: The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Thursday added 30-year-old Gurpreet Singh, an alleged associate of the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria crime group, to its Most Wanted list after indicting him on July 7 under Operation Hard Ball, a crackdown on international drug networks.The move comes nearly two weeks after alleged Bhagwanpuria gang operative Nitish Kaushal alias Lala was arrested in Vermont just two days after being placed on the list.The FBI said Gurpreet Singh is wanted for his alleged involvement in a transnational criminal organisation.He faces charges including racketeering conspiracy, illegal firearms dealing and narcotics distribution.A federal warrant for Gurpreet Singh was issued on June 25 in Los Angeles.According to the indictment, Gurpreet Singh knowingly distributed over 5 kg of cocaine in Los Angeles county on June 26, 2024, and collected $45,000 in illicit proceeds that same day.The FBI had previously issued a wanted poster for Harmanveer Singh, an alleged aide of Canada-based gangster Ravinder Singh Dhanda, who was subsequently arrested in California.
