A mass shooting at Seattle Center on Sunday evening left two people dead and at least five others injured, authorities said.The shooting took place around 6 pm local time at Seattle Center, where thousands of people had gathered for the annual Bite of Seattle food festival.Witnesses reported hearing a barrage of gunshots before panic spread across the venue. People were seen running in different directions and taking cover as the gunfire erupted across the 74-acre park complex.Police and emergency responders rushed to the scene, while authorities launched an investigation into the shooting. A witness told local media, “I heard bang, bang, bang, and then people started screaming.”A Seattle Police department spokesperson said he was on his way to the scene and could not provide more details.Kayla Carris, 22, who was sitting outside the Armory during the Bite of Seattle festival, said panic spread quickly after the shooting.“People suddenly started screaming and running inside the Seattle Center Armory building,” she said. “Everyone was dropping their things and running.
