Bhubaneswar: Six more Odia migrant workers injured in the ammonia gas leak incident at a seafood processing factory in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvallur district returned to Odisha on Wednesday after being discharged from hospitals in Tiruvallur and Chennai where they were undergoing treatment.Officials of the labour and employees’ state insurance department said the recovered workers were brought back from Chennai in flight and after arriving at Bhubaneswar, they were sent to their native villages in Keonjhar district under the supervision of district labour authorities.With the latest batch returning home, the number of Odia workers who have been brought back to the state following the industrial mishap has risen to 83. Two workers continue to remain under treatment at hospitals in Chennai and their condition is being closely monitored by the state govt officials. Two labour officers have been stationed in Chennai to oversee their treatment and provide necessary assistance, officials said.
