Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are making the most of their time together before welcoming their second child. The star couple was recently spotted enjoying a relaxed lunch outing in Mumbai, where they treated themselves to benne dosas. Videos from their casual date have since surfaced online, delighting fans.On Tuesday, Deepika and Ranveer made a rare public appearance as they headed to a popular Mumbai eatery for lunch. Surrounded by security, the couple kept their outing simple and private while enjoying their favourite South Indian meal.After finishing lunch, the two were seen leaving the restaurant together. Deepika opted for a comfortable co-ord ensemble, while Ranveer chose a T-shirt paired with black trousers. Both stars completed their casual looks with face masks as they walked towards their car.In one of the viral clips, members of Deepika’s security team can also be seen requesting bystanders and paparazzi not to record the couple while they exited the restaurant.
A favourite spot for the couple
This isn’t the first time Deepika and Ranveer have visited the popular restaurant. The couple had earlier stopped by the same café to celebrate the success of Ranveer’s film ‘Dhurandhar 2’.The outing had then gone viral after the restaurant’s official Instagram page shared a cheerful selfie featuring Deepika, Ranveer, Ranveer’s father Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and members of the restaurant staff.The café captioned the picture, “Something and all is happening pt. 2 #benne #chowpatty.”
Awaiting the arrival of baby number two
Earlier this year, Deepika and Ranveer announced that they were expecting their second child through a joint Instagram post.The announcement featured an adorable picture of their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh, holding a positive pregnancy test while both parents gently held her hands. Keeping the moment simple, Deepika captioned the post only with evil eye emojis.The couple married in Italy in 2018 in ceremonies honouring both Konkani and Sindhi traditions before welcoming their first child, Dua, in September 2024.

Professionally, Deepika has an exciting slate ahead. She will be seen alongside Shah Rukh Khan in ‘King’ and is also gearing up for Atlee’s ‘Raaka’, co-starring Allu Arjun. Backed by Sun Pictures, the film is expected to release in 2027.Ranveer, meanwhile, was last seen in Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar The Revenge’.
