A 43-year-old man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a body in Victoria’s east at the weekend.
Emergency services had been called to a property on Langford Street in Morwell on Sunday afternoon just before 4:00pm after reports that a man had been found dead with “significant injuries”.
Victoria Police confirmed that the body of a 58-year-old Morwell man had been found at the scene.
Police arrested the 43-year-old man in Traralgon and homicide squad detectives have charged him with one count of murder.
Police said they believe the two men were known to each other.
The man is expected to face Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court today.
